The beach is free-entry with no formal concession, making it the quietest of the main Tivat swim spots through July and August; parking is possible on the village road above.

The bay at Donja Lastva is sheltered on three sides, holding the water flat and slightly warmer than the open coast. The beach is narrow but has clear access from the road and a small stone jetty on the northern end. The village above the beach has a handful of local konobas open through the season for lunch and evening meals a short walk uphill.
