Things to See in Tivat
Attractions in Tivat cover the Buća-Luković palace and Renaissance garden, Saint Anthony's church, Pine Park, Porto Montenegro and the Naval Heritage Collection.
Attractions in Tivat are anchored by Porto Montenegro and the older Buća-Luković palace and gardens at the heart of the Centre. The Buća-Luković Renaissance summer palace has a small museum, a public Renaissance garden and the surrounding Tivat Cultural Centre programming through the year. Saint Anthony's Catholic church and a network of smaller Orthodox parishes complete the historical core.
Porto Montenegro houses the Naval Heritage Collection in a refurbished submarine-storage hall, a substantial maritime museum with two preserved Yugoslav submarines on display. Pine Park along the waterfront is the city's central promenade. Day-trip routes head north to Kotor and Perast across the bay, west by the Verige strait to Herceg Novi, and south to Lustica Bay and the more remote southern coast.
