Getting Around Tivat
Transport in Tivat covers Tivat Airport, Porto Montenegro marina, the Lepetane ferry, car hire, taxis, private transfers and the central bus station.
Transport in Tivat is dominated by the airport and the marina. Tivat Airport handles seasonal flights from across Europe and Russia from late April through October, with domestic and Belgrade routes year-round. Porto Montenegro is the country's largest yacht marina with full-service berths up to two hundred and fifty metres, plus the Lepetane, Kamenari ferry crossing the Verige strait at the bay's mid-point.
Car hire is concentrated at the airport and along the Centre's main road, with daily rates of twenty to forty-five euros for an economy car. Licensed taxis run a meter from one euro fifty plus thirty cents per kilometre; airport-to-Centre runs around eight to twelve euros. Private transfers from Tivat to Kotor, Budva, Herceg Novi and onwards to Dubrovnik or Tirana run forty to one hundred and twenty euros. The bus station handles all domestic and international coach traffic.
