The village is anchored by the Lepetane to Kamenari ferry terminal, where the seven-minute car-ferry crossing replaces the thirty-kilometre drive around the bay through Kotor. The ferry runs every fifteen to thirty minutes through the day and on a reduced schedule overnight, with foot passengers free and cars at four to five euros a crossing.

The village itself is a small strip of stone houses, a couple of waterfront restaurants on either side of the ferry quay, and a quiet residential edge that sees most of its activity from the queues of summer cars waiting for the crossing. The Verige strait views from the village are among the best in the bay, with the islands and Perast across the water visible directly across on a clear day.
